A Family Portrait is the most important part of your home decor. Your family is special. Unique. A story of success, and triumph. Don't settle for an ordinary "family picture" to portray the extraordinary nature of your family.
When asked to do family photography / family portraits, I always want to spice things up a bit and make them unique
and original. So I aim for family portrait sessions that are comfortable and relaxed, whether at home or on location.
I want the family to relax, be playful and have fun. Family portrait sessions turn out great this way.
Many family portraits are of the traditional poses, but lack the look and feel of photojournalism. I prefer to introduce a candid element into my family photography. Locations help for family photography (Austin and Round Rock have
many great locations), but they aren't the most important part of the family portrait. I try to make sure that the family
is the main subject.
I encourage the family to choose locations and poses that reflect their personality and style. This can vary from a park
or at home for posed shots.
